Recently, I graduated from the davidji Meditation Academy with an advanced certification to teach. Shortly after graduation I was approached by the lovely Patt Gilmore to see if I would be interested in volunteering for a pairing of art and Mindfulness for her YouTube Channel, Chill Art. I watched several episodes to get a feel for the channel, then I said yes, and we got together via ZOOM to record my part - an offering of Metta, or lovingkindness. Patt was so kind, and an absolute joy to speak with as she walked me through how the episode would be recorded, etc.
I have always found great value in exploring and creating art throughout my life so I resonated deeply with what Patt has created in pairing a Mindfulness technique alongside a no-talent-necessary art project to aid people in stress reduction in response to the pandemic. She offers the art project "Globes of Kindness" in the episode in which I participated, and I think it was the absolute perfect pairing! In fact, I plan to make several "Globes of Kindness" and create a mobile for my meditation space!
